Teenage Fanclub – Man Made
Been listening to the new Teenage Fanclub album loads over the last couple of weeks and I have to say it’s not been doing it for me. I’m a massive TFC fan – first in line for tickets, I’ve bought everything they’ve ever done and I even used to run a TFC website – so you can imagine I don’t dismiss the album lightly. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad album by any means and there’s some great songs on there but overall it’s just kind of washed over me. My lasting impression is that the band are finally starting sound their age – making music for an older age group!
I hope time proves me wrong but to date it’s way down my list of TFC albums. Still can’t wait to see them live though!
Incidentally the Scotland On Sunday free CD that was given away at the weekend is great! Some fantastic versions of classic songs and some rare tracks. Well worth tracking down if you’re a fan – apparently they are selling well on ebay!
